ABOUT
My name's John Haith and I'm a drummer from Rotherham. I'm currently looking for a new band in the local area. I've been drumming for almost 6 years and have played in 2 bands to date. The last band I played in was a rock covers band from Leeds called Meltdown, and we covered tracks from Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Billy Idol, Thunder, etc. Prior to that I played in an original metal band from Chesterfield called Mordant. During this time we recorded an EP called 'Dreams Of Fear' which was featured in a small article in Metal Hammer magazine

Influences
I don't really have a favourite band, I tend to listen to a variety of tracks from many different artists. My main influences are rock and metal bands such as Whitesnake, Metallica, Aerosmith, Machine Head, Def Leppard, Lamb Of God, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Avenged Sevenfold, Guns N Roses, AC/DC, etc
EQUIPMENT
I have two acoustic drum kits. A classic early nineties Pearl MLX in Piano Black, and a Mapex Saturn in Black Cherry Sparkle. I also have an electric kit at home for practicing. Most of my cymbals are Zildjian Z Customs which are great for rock and metal, and I have a set of Samson drum mics. I own an estate car so travelling and transporting my gear is not a problem
