Jody Brock is a 22 year old singer/songwriter from South London. After graduating from the BRIT school he has been pursuing a career within the music industry, hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous successful alumni such as Adele, Jessie J and Amy Winehouse.
As a child Jody was mesmerised by soul artists such as Donny Hathaway, Etta James, and James Brown and their influence is still very prominent within his sound today along with other influences from the genres of Rock, Pop and Jazz. Although he is in the early stages of his career Jody has had the opportunity to work with some incredible talents such as Dre Harris (of Dre & Vidal), Drew Lawrence (Christina Perri - Jar of Hearts), Rob Kleiner (Cee-Lo Green), Andy Rose (Allen Stone), Amy Wadge (Ed Sheeran), Heidi Rojas (Cheryl Cole), John Beck (Corinne Bailey Rae), Igloo (Ludacris) Ian Dench (Daniel Merriweather) and Utters (Maverick Sabre), just to name a few.
Jody’s music often talks about his trials and tribulations in love, he uses his debut EP ‘Phoenix’ as a confession to his imperfections in previous relationships. Performing live is one of Jody’s biggest passions and he aspires to create a very successful and long lasting career.
