BASSIST WANTED
Insurgence is an upcoming metal band in west yorkshire, ready to put as much dedication and effort into songs as possible in hopes to create amazing albums and play gigs full of energy around england, and eventually europe and even around the world at some point.
We are looking for a long term dedicated bassist that has ambitions of being in a successful metal band. We are wanting to be like a "traditional metal band" whilst not being afraid to add in unique instrumentation and experiment with different ideas. We are influenced by 80's metal bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Guns 'n Roses and Megadeth, as well as bands such as Green Day and Avenge Sevenfold. We are wanting to encapsulate the best qualities of these bands and put them together to create a metal band that is unique, as well as adding our own ideas and influences to that.
Here are the things we are expecting:
-Willingness to show up for rehearsals on time and ready to play
-Willingness to practise alone to get better as a musician
-Willing to work on individual parts alone to make them better and to come up with ideas that will drive a song
-Willing to tour and do gigs most weekends after albums, even if these are in other countries
-Willing to be 100% dedicated to being one of the most successful bands
-Willing to pay 1/4 of the cost for rehearsal rooms and recording studio time
-Playing each gig with full energy and passion
-Willing to put in maximum effort with everything to do with the band
-Willing to get involved with song ideas and contributing towards ideas
-To have the interest of the song in mind, and playing something for the song rather than for ego
-Ultimately, we are wanting to make the best music we can possibly make and have fun at the same time. We are a chill group and know how to have a laugh.
Insurgence are not only looking for a good bassist, but also someone who is part of the family. We'd love a bassist that creates complementary basslines that fit the groove and rhythm, as well as following the guitars when it's best for the song.
Any age from 16 to 20 would be ideal
We are based in Leeds and rehearsals will be there so living close would be best. Bringing gear to rehearsals is essential.
