We are a protoband; guitarist (& stuff) plus bassist (& stuff) plus vocalist (& sometimes, stuff). We're looking for a Drummer who wants to do more than just add the backbeat.
As you will see, bagpipes might later become an option and I've always hankered after a trombone. At the moment we are writing new material and although we appear to be novices and imbeciles, we have been playing music of a variety of genres for some time (20 yearsish).

Influences
Yes, we have many. Doesn't anyone else find this question impossible to answer succinctly? At the moment I'm enjoying a Clash resurgence, The Throwing Muses, O'Death and The Penguin Cafe Orchestra. My 4yr old, who controls the car stereo is currently listening to the Killers and Blondie. Tim suggests I include The Pixies and Fairport Convention and Sarah says Belly, and Ella Fitzgerald for good measure. Chop finely and reduce over several hours, season to taste.
