ABOUT

I am a self employed musician — teaching and performing recitals as an organist and pianist. I recently took the position of the Director of Music, and Organist at a Parish Church, working regularly with a small choir amd amateur dramatics group.

I also teach piano, teaching all abilities and ages, I believe you are never too old to start - beginning from the age of 6 myself! I mainly use the ABRSM (Associated Board) Syllabus, which combines practical, aural and written music training. However I aim to make music fun, helping my pupils to work towards formal examinations, but also encouraging them to develop their own style and passion for music.

Influences

I am a graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester (RNCM). I have worked with some of the UK’s finest organists and pianists, and attended master classes given by world famous organists such as Dame Gillian Weir and David Briggs. While at the RNCM I won the prestigious RNCM Organ Recital Prize in 2008.

I am looking to ultimately perform on the West end but would love to be part of a band again.
