We’ve been working together other over several years on composing and recording our own music. After a long period away from gigging we have recently had our first live performance in a while and as a result we are looking to expand our sounds and experiences by working with a female vocalist and hopefully start doing some live work. Musically our style is hard to categorize but we have a wide range of tastes and we enjoy the challenge and diversity of working in different styles, so we’re quite happy for the inspiration to take us in unexpected directions. We have a working title for our band as 1 Down.
We’ve been predominantly guitar based, though more recently we’ve used synthesisers to provide inspiration and content for our songs. We don’t do cover versions, just our own compositions.
We’re seeking a female vocalist with similar musical styles to ours, is open to new ideas / areas but able to push us and herself in other new directions. Someone who can contribute to our compositions lyrically but also in structure by bringing in their own ideas and thoughts. If you can play instruments then we’re open to that too but it’s not a prerequisite. Someone who wants to play music we’ve jointly composed and not cover versions, is happy to jam and / or bring ideas for songs that we then work on, record and finalise. We want to do some live work in small gigs once we’ve an accomplished set to play – and then who knows?
