I'm primarily a lead singer. I've been in the music industry, professionally, since I was 18. Had an album released in the very early 90's and had a decent career, as a solo artist, after that until I was around 28.
From there I wrote a lot of songs for, and in collaboration with, other artists as well as having my own recording studio. I produced, mixed and arranged songs for artists that had major record deals.
Before my own professional career I did a lot of pub gigs from 16 - 18 (literally crammed a ton of them in) which was an excellent learning ground for my original career. After my career I went back to the scene, briefly, to supplement cash flow.
Between both sectors of the music industry, from 16 to 32, I had amassed an amount of gigs, that I couldn't even begin to count, from tiny little pubs to huge stages and audiences. I have worked in bedroom recording studio's to multi million pound facilities and, therefore, have a very rounded experience.
In my professional career I was primarily a lead singer with a lot of rhythm guitar experience, both electric and acoustic.
Before and after I had a fair bit of lead guitar guitar experience but mostly as David Gilmour role / classic rock.
I am 75% more original artist than a covers act but I have not done anything very active for close to 12 years; so very rusty indeed.
I have an idea of what I'd like to do and what floats my boat from writing, again, back on the original scene to doing a Floyd Tribute act, with a difference.
I also would like to do a humble pub classic rock band but, again, differently. I am not one for trying to be a carbon copy clone. The original artist's CD will always be better! ;-)
