I've been playing the drums for about 15 years now. My immersion in Music started when I listened to my Mother's Jazz Records (a great education)! Hence my approach to the drums was primarily as an instrument, then as a rhythmical tool. I tend to listen to front-line instrumentation (soloists) for the inspiration and phrasing and, for Groove- Breakbeats, Cuban lilts and Hip-Hop.

On this continuing journey, I have lost count of the synchronicities I have experienced and great friends I have made, so many patient guides along the way..(you know who you are) and I thank you. I have gained a unique style, sound and feel through mixed musical influences, personal study and working with a range of diverse artists. I am currently focusing on Studio Sessions. The discipline of the Studio environment helping to hone the music down to its simplest form..its essence. More and more I am simplifying my playing, deciding to replace some of the notes played with space or more emotion and conviction. My second instrument is the Keyboard You may hear some Rhodes, Piano or Synth parts in these audio excerpts.
