Iâ??m looking to either put together, or join a group to work on covers and / or originals. Ideally with a modern folky (almost country) style. Influences include The Civil Wars, Lady Antebellum, Of Monsters and Men, Newton Faulkner, Mumford and Sons, Ben Howard, The Fray, Lumineers, Fine Frenzy, Lior, Ray LaMontagne, Angus and Julia Stone, etc . However my music taste stretches all the way from classical to hardcore, so iâ??m pretty open to styles, and love blending styles (where it works).
About me: Iâ??m 31, male, pretty laid back and have previously played in quite a few bands covering everything for folk-duo, Pop-punk, ska, metal and wedding covers. I class myself as a rhythm guitarist (not a lead) as i like to focus on vocals where possible. Now Iâ??m starting to have a bit more time on my hands, and massively missing playing in a band and gigging, iâ??d love to get back into a new project and gig some great songs.
My main enjoyment is being in a band with the focus on harmonies and meaningful songwriting. Iâ??d much rather be in a band whoâ??s a bit dynamic with vocals and doesnâ??t just do the standard style (like most local 4-piece rock bands).
