At a time when there are loads of fine singers around, the glamorous Brazilian singer Caru Lins, stands out not just as a distinctive voice but as a sophisticated interpreter of the exciting and passionate strains of traditional Bossa Nova and the Jazz standards.
She is strongly influenced by Brazilian classical composers, interpreters and improvisers such as Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, Joao Gilberto, Elis Regina, Billie Holiday, Chet Baker and Ella Fitzgerald to name a few.
Her live shows not only embrace her musical ingenuity but also a great deal of charm and humor.
Despite her international career, singing abroad as a contracted singer in Malaysia, Panama and Sweden and in London at places such as Ronnie Scott’s, One of London’s top Five Stars Hotels – Browns Hotel in Mayfair – singing regularly for 3 years, The Rubens Palace - 5 Star Hotel in Parliament Square - Pizza On The Park Jazz Venue, Spice of Life Jazz Venue, among others.
She stayed true to her Brazilian roots - while singing in well known Brazilian places in London such as Made in Brasil, in Camdem Town also.
She is still performing in London when requested by agencies.

Her repertoire includes mainly the best of Bossa Nova (Tom Jobim, Vinicius de Moraes, Chico Buarque, Elis Regina, Caetano Veloso, Carlos Lyra, Edu Lobo, Toquinho, Roberto Menescal, Nara Leao, Joao Donatto, Marcos Valle, etc...) and jazz standards, such as her favourite singer Billie Holiday, also Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaugahn, Frank Sinatra, Chet Baker, Nina Simone, Dee Dee Bridgwater, BB King, Eric Clapton, Buena Vista Social Club, Louis Armstrong and popular singers, like Sting, The Beatles, Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Simple Minds, Yes, The Police, Dire Straits, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, U2, Alicia Keys, Amy Winehouse, Stevie Wonder,etc.
Although a confirmed anglophile, Caru Lins has not forgotten her roots and has a mission to captivate the hearts of her new audiences with the music that is her passion : Bossa Nova and Jazz.
