ABOUT

HI there my name is Bright Masih most people just call me Brightie and I am a very acomplished Conga/Bongo player. I taught myself from the age of 9 and worked for 4 years guest appeariing in various nighclubs in Brighton & London. I have played at clubs under the stage name Flyboy and was featured in NME and Rythm Mag. I have performed in Clubs such as Cafe d Paris, Parradox, Funky Buddha Lounge, The Event and the Jazz Rooms. I have a very unusual sound and technique which is miles away from tradditional latin percussion (even though I sometimes break in LP for fun). I am great at playing alongside an acoustic or electric set. I would like to work with a kick ass female singer songwriter and other talented musicians. . I once played in a session for 12 hours straight (minus breaks) and split the skin on the tips of all my fingers. I plastered them up finished the set and got a standing ovation. Bottom line I am fun, dedicated, passionate and kick ass - so give me a call. I am only really interested in being part of a band with other ambitious motivated and fun peeople. I love the Acid Jazz syle groove but would love to be part of anything focused, fun and dedicated.
