David Bowie tribute band, The Thin White Duke, are looking for a new keyboard player.
We are looking for a talented keyboard player to join a 6 piece tribute to David Bowie (Oct 2022).
We are based and gig in the South East area. Rehearsals and auditions are in Pease Pottage rehearsal rooms just off the M23 near Crawley.
The ideal candidate would:
- Have the ability and equipment to cover all eras of Bowie music from Ziggy Stardust to 80s synths through to Blackstar album.
- Be able to play samples and adapt parts
- Provide backing vocals - an advantage but not necessary.
- Have a professional attitude
- Have good availability and commitment.
- Have good communication skills: WhatsApp group messaging for example, upkeep shared online Google calendar.
- Have reliable transport
- Be a good all rounder; someone who can help drive the band to bigger and better venues.
We consider ourselves to be a very friendly, fun band that has a lot of laughs together. Enjoyable tight band that has a professional product and delivers a "wow" factor live performance.
The Thin White Duke David Bowie Tribute Band have become a fan favourite on the tribute scene since forming over 17 years ago. On stage, the band capture the sound and vision of a live Bowie concert. The band take you on a 2-hour journey through David Bowie's golden years, starting with the glam rock of Ziggy Stardust for the first half of the show. Hits such as "Space Oddity", "Starman” and "The Jean Genie" are delivered with exacting faithfulness to the original recordings.
The 6 piece band then presents David Bowie's Thin White Duke character as the band shift gear into the mid-seventies euro funk era, before lighting up the dance floor with Bowie’s 80's super-star phase, with hits including "Let's Dance", "Modern Love" and "China Girl". Finally the band present David Bowie’s 2003 Reality tour, including even more hits from across his whole career.
