Looking for a folk (contemporary/Irish/Scottish/rock-folk) band to play with, ideally quite casually to begin with i.e. a local gig once a month or so. Would like to join a group who largely perform their own stuff, and where I could add another dimension to with the fiddle/violin.
I learned classically up to the age of 19 when I passed my Grade 8 violin. I now play almost exclusively Irish trad, and have played at lots of sessions in Ireland and London so have quite a repertoire of Irish tunes. I've also played with my brother's acoustic/indie band a couple of times, so I can be quite versatile.
