ABOUT

We are... concerned about music.

Talented lyricist with strong, distinctive vocals (Edd, 25); guitarist (Paul, 26), Bassist (Jamie, 26) and drummer currently studying at Brighton institute of Modern Music with six years experience, (Lee, 22) have talent and ambition to burn.

We're looking for a guitarist songwriter of similar(ish) age (i.e. 18–30) to write good indie rock to gig.

We want people we gel with to write good, strong and creative music and have a laugh.

Vocals are distinctive, have a good range; and I can send some sample lyrics on request (You lucky devil).

My key influences include Thom Yorke, The Smiths, Willy Mason, Jeff Buckley; Gene, Belle and Sebastian, Thirteen Senses, Libertines, Blur; Leonard Cohen, Kerouac, Bukowski.

Common influences between Lee and I at the moment are Manics, Radiohead, The Smiths, Muse, The Verve, Paul Weller/The Jam... Indie rock, basically.

Ideally, your influences should be pretty similar; (don't want to sound snobbish, just don't want to disappoint anyone when we don't really fancy screaming along to your Thrash Metal) and include Graham Coxon, Johnny Marr, Johnny Greenwood, John Squire and similarly melodic guitarists; and you should be pretty dedicated – We rehearse three times a week, and write the rest of the time

That said, we've no wish to slavishly copy anyone; however talented, so bring your own ideas – we will!

We've got half-a-dozen songs and are aiming to gig by the summer. Hop on board while you can!
