My ambitions are to gig regularly, though I am a way off that, and to write and record meaningful music on which I am making a start, even if only for my own satisfaction.
I'm looking to find other people to play with; as a duo, band, ensemble, session etc for practice, for fun, for songwriting, for recording or with an aim to performing in public, whatever. It doesn't need to lead to gigs, but if it did, all the better.
I'm 51 and have been playing since 18, however it is only in the last few years that I have been seriously practicing and I need to improve to play the music I hear in my head. I own an engineering consultancy, and at present this can take me away for up to 3 weeks on occasion, hence putting down 'moderately committed'.

Led Zep, Bert Jansch, Radiohead, King Crimson, Peter Gabriel, Woodie Guthrie, J.S. Bach, Dr John, Nick Drake, Black Sabbath, Hawkwind, Afro Celt Sound System etc etc. I listen to a wide range of music from classic rock to afropop, trad folk to classical, blues to prog rock, Metal to harmony singing.
