So I used to gig a lot in the 90s and the early 2000s but got married and jobbed and kinda quit but Im back and ready to do it all again without the ego and with better transport..lol. I never stopped playing guitar and singing. Anyway, I'm a friend and mentor to a great singer songwriter and its time to form a band to gig with. We have a decent gigs worth of material and there is always more coming. If I had to describe Id say a bit America/ CSNY/ Floyd/David Gray/ Dido ish. Nice and vibey with a 3d dynamic kinda feel. (eh?) Would like to find some band mates with experience and a good attitude to play some good tunes with. Not really into jamming and thrashing but like a bit of start middle and ending if you know what I mean. Id like to meet a pianist/keyboard player that doesnt know about sequencers but that can really feel the atmosphere. Id like a sweet sounding female vocalist(s) with any instruments but a fiddle would be lush. A bass player that can really add depth and air. And another guitar/vocal member would definitely be considered but we like one note beautiful, not twenty note widdlers. It would be great if all potential bandies could add vocals too.
We'd like to get going quickly with pre crimbo gigs the target followed by trying for festivals next year. No alcoholics or intravenous drug users but drinky smokey funny laughy is very welcome.
