We are looking for a competent drummer who (preferred but not essential) could provide a third harmony backing vocals on some songs and who loves playing mainly 60s and a little bit of 70s stuff. Currently we do Stones/Kinks/Small Faces/Beatles/Animals/Searchers/Beach Boys/Early Rock’n’Roll and some other West Coast stuff but are totally flexible in what stuff we play as long it’s an audience pleaser.
Band is a 4 piece with lead guitar/ lead vocalist, bass guitar lead vocalist/ rhythm guitar & drums.
We play currently play gigs once a month locally and are booked up until Christmas. Our current drummer is also doing lucrative dep work that is taking him all over the country so his availability is become limited.
We have recently rebuilt the band so this is a good opportunity to get in on the ground floor, so to speak, as we are all getting up to speed together. We are practicing once a week near Kingswood to start with while we build up to 3 x 45 min sets for our gigs (for clubs, 2 x 45 min for pubs) already booked near Kingswood, normally on a Tuesday.
