Jesus Christ Superstar is the groundbreaking musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber (music) and Tim Rice (lyrics). It is a two act rock opera based on the last seven days of Jesus of Nazareth. We are looking for strong rock voices to play lead and ensemble roles in this show. The launch takes place on 15th december, auditions early January, and the show runs for 1 week in May 2011. Wyspas will be staging the show as part of the Wycombe Arts Festival and will be using the new Wycombe Arts Centre. This is the huge St John's church in Desborough Road. The inside of the building is stunning, with soaring wooden ceilings, immense stained glass windows and massive stone pillars - it is a fabulous and perfect setting for JCS!

WYSPAS is a group of dedicated and talented individuals of all ages from High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. We perform two amateur musicals per year in various South Bucks venues, including the Wycombe Swan Theatre and Town Hall. We are committed to producing shows of the highest quality.
