ABOUT

How do.
My name is iain, I live in Scotland, N. Lanarkshire.
I currently am looking for like-minded, peaceful people who aren' afraid of constructive criticism when it comes to generating good tunes, as I take that as commitment to the sound, but not being over critical to the point of madness.
I have been playing guitar for over 30 years and making music sine i was about 12. I have some pro studio experience and have been in and out of bands throughout my time as a player. I also obtained an HND in sound production in 2013 so I'm pretty self contained when it comes to producing my own stuff, but all opinions and tips are very welcome, always learning, never going back. :)

Influences

A lot, I can remember music my dad played before i could even speak.
He played a lot of beatles which was great fodder for later bands when the 90s hit, like the "grunge" movement but my first experimentation of the rock scene came when I was 9 and i lightened to Guns n Roses (appetite and GnR lIes) and then it went from there.
I like everything from Abba to ZZtop with a few exceptions of course :)
Always listening for new gems in the underground and pop world.

EQUIPMENT

Studio equipment in my room studio:
Macbook pro with Logic 9 as my sequencer.
Behringer X1622 mixing desk.
ESI Key Control 25 midi keyboard
A selection of microphones but no condensers for drums.
Yamaha L series acoustic which gets better with age.
I also have a bass guitar which is an old copy of something but it plays great and i have a fender supersonic electric guitar but i get all the sounds off my acoustic no problem with my pedal (Toneworks Korg AX1500G)
speakers and external tv monitor for recording playback and mixing etc.
