Played guitar for 5 years, violin for 3 and piano for nearly 6, very much a fan of more traditional metal and rock such as Judas Priest, AC/DC and Iron Maiden. I also am particularly fond of Thrash such as Testament. However, I also like Death, Black, Viking, Folk, Symphonic, Goth, Industrial, Doom and pretty much any kind of metal that is going really.
I am a pretty good guitarist and have attempted to give guitar lessons once or twice, I can also play a variety of styles (preferred is obviously some kind of metal but I am open minded about music).

I am only really up for playing guitar, but I wouldn't mind giving keyboard(though it isn't my stronegst instrument) a go, though I don't have a decent one.

I would not class myself as a "shredder" because I was taught by a blues guitarist and thus have a lot of bluesy character in my playing. I can play melodic (fast if necessary) solos and the like no problem, I just have never really liked sweeps enough to bother learning how to play them.

At the moment I am looking to join a metal band (not any metalcore crap mind) preferably thrash, but I am up for anything really. I put only "Moderately Committed" simply because I have work and another band on the go, and will only become "very committed" when I feel that (if and when) the band I join is right for me.

Equipment List:

Customised Gibson Flying V, Maverick Matrix, Schecter 007 BlackJack, Epiphone SG and some crummy bass are what make up my guitar collection.
For practices I have an 80W Peavey Combo and a 100W Marshall Combo. For gigs I have a Line 6 halfstack. I also have a couple of FX Pedals.
