Guitarist with decent backing vocals (shared lead OK) in the Llantrisant area and looking to join a band or get together with people who want to write original songs (from acoustic through to rock but not metal) and play the odd gig every now and then. A sample of my current posted rough original demos can be heard on the music player or in full on www.myspace.com/spikedavies. It would be nice to find like minded souls in the CF72 or surounding area who fancy a weekly (or more) get together (great local and cheap practice venue) to play and write new material and get it out to the masses - well the odd pub gig anyway. Covers are OK and really just looking for some musical fun.
I'm 51 but have my own teeth and don't yet need a zimmer frame or Stenna lift.

I'm a big Todd Rundgren fan but this is a top of the head selection of favourites in my head right now and I don't sound like any of them (in my dreams maybe): Todd Rundgren, Crowded House, Steely Dan, Rory Gallagher, Floyd, Super Furry Animals, The Blue Nile, Radiohead, Foo Fighters, Zep, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Finn Bros, The Hold Steady, World Party, Flaming Lips, Stereophonics, Tom Petty, Van Morrison Richard Hawley, YeaSayer, Big Sugar...... and loads of others.

Equipment List:

Fender Strat, Musicman Stingray, Yamaha acoustic, Musicman 65/410 combo, Peavey ValveKing 212 combo, Roland Juno-D Synth, various effects. Plus Boss 16 track recording studio that is currently wasted due to my limited technical patience. It can record 8 simultaneous tracks which is great for recording live/and or drums.
