Bad Uncle Jimi is a writing / recording / performing project of experienced ex-full time musicians with both original and cover material supporting a particularly well-defined style.

Currently a tight three piece (vocals / guitar, bass & drums) looking to complete our core line up with a tasteful keyboard player to contribute to performance and composition.

(Female backing vocals as satellite members.)

One rough track example Junkie Town put together to give very rough idea (and does not feature current line up - Just Jimi and some rough overdubbing. Further recording underway.

Influences

The lyrical content takes a nod and a wink toward Ian Dury or an English biased Tom Waits / Nick Cave / Frank Zappa.

While the sound leans heavily toward alt rock, (Maroon Five meets Citizen Cope) there are folk, jazz, rock and roll and even country twists.

The drummer has impressive rock touring pedigree.
Bass Player, also a seasoned world tourer (ex-Tourists and many others), Guitar player and vocalist a London / L.A., / Toronto, session player / performer (Ronnie Hawkins, Rocky Burnette, Jude Cole, Marietta Waters) and writer for advertising, TV and film.
