I’m looking for guitar and drums to form tight funk rhythm section with a view to expanding with other musicians once the basics are together
I’m 53, plenty of experience, into funk from the 60’s up to present. Don’t want to be playing superstition or Get Lucky (the usual stuff) there’s a lot of good music out there that is played by those DJ’s that know, but is rarely played live. Also don’t want to be doing functions, weddings etc etc (been there, done that)
Looking to rehearse once a week, gig once a month, not in it for the money, just here to play good music in cool venues
Own transport, decent gear, ability, a love of funk music and willingness to commit to something are essential, not forgetting a sense of humour
