ABOUT
ROOKS Yard is great new recording studio in the heart of the Essex Delta, offering a focused, but chilled environment where creativity is allowed to flow freely, with expert guidance on hand, if required.
Rooks Yard founders Tim Aves and Pete Crisp been involved in music-making for more years than either cares to dwell upon. Both are successful musicians in their own right. Over the past four decades, they have worked – together and individually – to promote live and recorded music in Essex and way beyond, as performers, festival promoters, live sound providers and in Pete’s case, also as the acclaimed recording engineer behind the popular Saint Studios in Burnham-on-Crouch, which produced a huge number of successful and acclaimed albums over a 16-year-period.
We have great-sounding 4mx4m live room, a spacious control room, an isolated vocal booth and a huge range of classic amps, guitars, pedals available to be used by artists.
We also offer live and location multitrack recording, using Pro Tools and can also provide live sound support, if needed.

Rates
£35/hour or £250 for an eight-hour day.
Special rates for live/location recording and for longer sessions available on request.
