My name's Matt and I'm a bass player,

i played in lots of bands in the 80's (some with deals, some without)and played with myself in the 90's (home studio/ambient techno, that kind of thing) I recently got roped into playing bass again in a scratch band behind Damo Suzuki (Can vocalist from years ago) and that rekindled my love affair with the old plank.

now as a 46 year old i have an urge to relive my youth and have formed a band with an old mate (guitarist) and a fine drummer to play all those tunes we loved 'back in the day'(think 80's Aussie garage stuff like Hoodoo Gurus, Screaming Tribesmen, Lime Spiders etc) we also fancy mangling some proper 60's garage tunes too. Don't worry if you've never heard any of these bands i'll send you a cd if you're interested. Also up for doing original stuff, we are doing a tune i wrote in 1983 called Chinese Eyes, that certainly counts as original !!

so if you are a singer of a certain age and fancy showing your kids what daddy used to do when he was a rebellious teenager then join us for laughs, noise and beer!!

We have settled on the name The Outbursts, we've done 2 small gigettes with the guitarist & myself singing and want to do more (although with a proper singer as Ian & I are terrible ;o)
