We're looking for, mainly, a drummer and a decent guitarist, to join vocalist/bassist and vocalist/keyboardist.
Phil and I are just getting in to the swing of writing music together, having been friends for a while, but we're looking to flesh out the sound a bit, especially with regards to percussion, since currently we're using Reason to create drum loops.
Ermm, god... no not literally god. I mean, it's tough to pin point. We're wanting to create something that rocks, that's catchy - current work has really been described as soft rock-ish pop-punk, using happy upbeat tunes with slightly more jarring lyrics.
When we first sat down, the main groups that we listed off as being the kind of sound we wanted to go for was stuff like, The Feeling, The Enemy, Snow Patrol, Hard-Fi - so you're looking at like, alternative indie soft rock stuff, really. Phil's a fab keyboardist so we want to use that, and I like my twiddly bass riffs, and everyone likes a bit of guitar and anthemic drums... yeah this section has gone on for too long!
Look, I've uploaded a song that we recorded called Fake - check it out, it's very much a demo, but if it catches your ear, please get in touch.
Various things... ermm off the top of my head, we've got multiple keyboards (mines a Yamaha PSR-295, Phil has a better one), we've got semi-acoustic, bass guitar, electric guitar, and a (constantly growing) home studio (currently it's in it's infancy, but still consists of a Mac running Reason, a PC running Pro-tools, mics, mixing desk, etc) and oh, a full PA rig for gigs, should we ever require it.
Benjamin and Phil.
