The Tee Leaves are a blues/folk/rock n roll four piece from Leicester that formed late spring of 2011...

We first started when bassist Luke Harley, and myself got together to jam. I had the songs and more blues harmonica than you could shake a stick at and Luke was excellent at making tea. This set the scene for many more songs to be written and Luke and I collaborated on various influences to us. With a love for blues roots, which so many bands seem to be lacking in modern music, and drawing inspiration from anything ranging from 1960's Psycadellic music to Folk and Blues we soon crafted our own sound.

Soon we were frequenting local Leicester venues and events as a two piece, from The Exchange bar to Leicesters own Summer Sundae. The latter members drummer Jason Phillips and guitarist Simon Ali came in later under various circumstances. Jay's afro simply growing too large for him to be like any normal man, so he joined the band as the drummer. And Simon not really liking the amp he uses, thought he'd give ours a go. The four of us gelled quickly and continued to get ourselves around Leicester as much as possible taking part in events such as the Oxjam Festival and Skyride. We have just been in the studio recording a four track demo with Paul Wong and Paul Jones and aim to be back at work very soon recording our debut album.
