The New Root are an alternative/indie rock band who have been described by Venue magazine as a \"riff/synth-rocking four-piece with Radiohead/Muse inspired squally guitar and vocals not far removed from a slightly panicked Gwen Stefani\". We have just finished our debut EP \"Them\" and will be alunching it with a series of gigs in November, including Moles Battle of the Bands in Bath. We have strong connections with the local student scene and won the University of Bristol Battle of the Bands 2005 and also reached the South West final of the Carling/O\'Neils Battle of the Bands. We are planning on spending the next year writing, rehearsing, recording and regularly gigging with an aim to step up a gear in a year or so to fully seeking a recording contract.
