We’re an established 5-piece 70s and 80s Disco covers band who are looking for an additional female singer to do some lead and some backing vocals. Our band consists of two female vocalists, keyboards (plus backing vox), guitar and bass (with professional drum backing tracks), however one of our singers has sadly decided to leave at the end of this year after 4 years with us, so we require a replacement from January 2024 onwards.
We have gigs booked throughout next year already, but our first gig of 2024 isn’t until early April, so you’ll have time to settle in. We rehearse on Monday evenings in Kegworth (Nr East Mids Airport) and look to gig roughly once a month as we all have jobs and families outside of the band. We have a friendly relaxed approach with the band and do this more for the enjoyment of playing, although we do obviously get paid for gigs.
Our set list currently comprises of disco classics mainly from the 70s and 80s (Chic, Sister Sledge, Diana Ross, Heatwave, The Trammps, The Bee Gees, Pointer Sisters, Donna Summer etc) although we add new songs regularly and we all have an input into new song choices.
The band is all ‘of a certain age’ (50 being the youngest!) to give you an idea, but don’t let that put you off if you’re a bit younger – as long as you love the music, you’d fit in!
