Up to very recently I'd been with an established band playing primarily for fun, (see photos) and had been playing regularly every week for approx 9 years. We gigged a few times locally, but did not pursued this further for no other reason than the time and effort required.

But all good things come to an end, and I've recently moved house from Aberdeenshire down to Wiston, near Biggar, and want, ...no 'need' to get together with other musicians again. Also prepared to gig too.

I play guitar, keyboard and drums, and would be happy to take up any of these roles that suits the band.

My passion is Rock, Pop, Prog Rock, Blues, Funk, some Jazz ....Blues (did I mention Blues already)? Mainly 70's 80's material but also lots of later stuff. If it sounds good it's good enough for me.

With my last band, none of us were trained or highly skilled musicians, but we've been around long enough to have learned enough technique and chops to pretty much hold our own anywhere. Although we also didn't take ourselves too seriously either.

I would love to to join an existing band, but also quite happy to start a new one if there is enough interest.

I'm a great believer in ego's should be left at the door, and no one is not good enough to be in the band as long as they're prepared to put the effort in to practice.

The aim is to support each other, enjoy and have fun, otherwise what's the point?

Most rock and prog rock Bands, Deep Purple, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Cream, Grand Funk Railroad, Uriah Heep, Blind Faith, etc.

All Rock / Pop through 70's and 80's. - Some jazz too but will try any and all types of music

I've uploaded a few tracks that I recorded and produced with my previous band. No backing tracks (obviously) they are 100% us and our versions of the songs. Didn't spend a huge amount of time on the production as at the time we needed to get some songs out. But gives an idea.
