We're fairly much a "fun band", playing for local events. We're Ideally suited to "junior" players who want to play in a real band to widen their experience, and also more experienced musicians who need to dust off their instruments and start playing again! We rehearse at Willingham-by-Stow Village Hall on Friday evenings 7.30 till 9.00pm (and the Half Moon is right opposite for an "après rehearsal" drink) !

Our playlist is what one might describe as a typical Wind Band repertoire - Classical, Pop, Songs from the Shows, Jazz.
Members Of Band
The line-up varies from year to year, as new people join, and others leave the village, go off to university, etc. At the moment, we have me (trumpet), a second trumpet, a flute player (or flautist, if you prefer), alto sax, tenor sax, bass clarinet, clarinet, and a professional musician who plays French Horn, flugel and baritone horn. (Our trombonist died last year, and we'd desperately like a replacement).
EQUIPMENT
We all have our own instruments, but the band also has a tenor horn, Bb bass, Eb bass, alto sax and a really nice Yamaha trombone with a bass trigger, and two cornets. And a drum kit. So if you haven't got your own instrument, we can lend you one, probably.
