My name is Robert Mauro, I'm 19, live in Ilford (North East London) and I play both bass guitar and rhythm guitar. I have a fair ability at both but played bass guitar in my last band so I think I'll stick with that for now. With me is Laura Mould, also 19, living in Oakwood (North London) and is a vocalist. She can sing and scream and was the vocalist in my previous band. We're both willing to travel around London as long as it isn't too far away. Anything in our local areas or Central London will be ideal though.
We left our last band due to creative differences as we were playing something between melodic death metal and progressive metal, which we weren't really happy with as it isn't our style and ended up being too guitar driven, with very little room for vocal input.
We now wish to start up a new band or join one which plays either Metal in the style of American Head Charge, Kittie, Killswitch Engage, My Ruin (heavy with melodic parts) or a Heavy Rock band in the style of Garbage, AFI, Jack Off Jill, Cyclefly, Queen Adreena and the like. We're comfortable with playing on either end of that scale. It would be good however if our musical influences and ambitions are very similar as that was our last band's downfall.
Looking forward to hearing from like-minded musicians.
