OK, Still looking (thanks to those we've already seen)

Not there yet, still on the look out for a seriously GOOD LEVEL bass player who knows how to play their instrument, is completely confident in their own abilities and who can command their place in a bass/guitar/drums band set up (plus vocals) there is no hiding place so you need to be good, have PRO LEVEL gear (practice gear no good) and total confidence in what you can do.

VERY GOOD level bass player required Male or Female Covers Band (age somewhere between 30-60 though not important) for quality rock covers band. Rock being the focus.

Must have high PRO LEVEL GEAR (we do), own transport, be able to rehearse once a week and gig approx. twice a month.

This is a new(ish) venture with established, guitar, drums, vocals (female) plus you. We have all been in bands before etc so know what were doing. We are all experienced band players with many years of pub/club/beer festival type gigs under our belts.

You will need to be this too!

We will be playing a mixture of modern 'indie' rock and old 'proper' rock, all up tempo and well known covers ie: AC/DC, Stereophonics, Foo Fighters, Led Zepp, Thin Lizzy, Queen, Blondie etc.. we will be 'rockin out' make no mistake, think female fronted Foo's for sound and you wont be too far out!!!

We are all in our 30's-40's, age not important but just so you know, but commitment is, also wanting to play a full part in a new band is vital, and being able to rehearse on a fixed evening during the week is really important, currently Tuesdays in Wymondham rehearsal space (Woodshack) though this could possibly be moved.

We have good PA currently being up graded, contacts for gigs and now want top get things moving with someone who can rehearse regularly and who is committed to joining a band.

We are a really nice bunch, NO egos just want to enjoy playing and gigging.This wont change your life?? but if you want to get out gigging or get back into it then once a week rehearsal and twice a month gigging is the minimum commitment level we need.

If you have BV's or willing to give it a go, even better though not essential. This will be a band where you will have full input/suggestions/ideas, yes we have 20 or so songs ready but room for your input on that front for sure.

As a clue to the level of ability (minimum requirement) you must be able to play the intro and bass line to Jet - R U Gonna Be My Girl...(not a difficult song) perfectly without hesitation or mistakes, ideally you should be able to improvise around that bass line/scale at will. We are looking for a bass player who can stand their own, command their 'bass area' there is no hiding in a 3 piece band you MUST be completely confident in what you can do and quite frankly give the guitarist a run for his money!!

We're not Dream Theatre good but we are at a good level, if you think you can fit that bill and want to enjoy playing bass with a really easy going relaxed bunch then get in touch in complete confidence.
