HARLOW/ESSEX/STANSTED AREAS:
Keyboard/synth player wanted for new band. Must have decent gear and own transport. Preferably you should be in the local area.
Starting as pub covers band (Cream/Black Crowes - classic rock/the usual fare), but doing this to get experience together and learn to play together as a band.
Meanwhile, we'll be writing and recording our own material and take this out live when the time is right. The three main influences will be Pink Floyd/Evanesence/Cream-type rock when we come to the original material. There is a strong desire to raaawk! The band members are all very keen to make this work and 'determination' should really be one of your qualities too.
We have bass/guitar/vocals/drums in place. Our first rehearsal is on 16th Dec 10am-6pm in Bishop's Stortford, which if you can make, would be brilliant. All subsequent rehearsals will be on Sundays.
The average ages in the band are 24/35 ish. Doesn't matter if you are older or, in fact, younger. No teens though please (you should be out, having fun, getting ASBO's etc).
These qualities are essential: very good communication skills, willingness to muck in in terms of organisation, (passengers need not apply), good sense of humour, good gear (doesn't have to be exceptional, but good piano, strings sounds etc essential). Knowledge of MIDI, sequencing, recording and badgers an advantage.
