We have formed a R&B, Soul and Ska cover band. We are seeking a drummer and a vocalist. We have a rehearsal room and PA.
We rehearse once a week and consider this an important part of the enjoyment of being in a band. We'd like to gig once a month but realise it may be a little less frequent in reality.
Primarily we want to have a good time and have a set that fills dance floors. This is why we have focussed on R&B, Soul and Ska.
Although we have moved away from this genre, you can check out Mike's previous band on Spotify for the standard we are aiming for: Clarence King & The Regents 1) The Ballad of Clarence King and 2) I'm still waiting.
We are very flexible and are happy to adjust what we play as new members join providing we avoid banging out the usual rock & pop covers. Over the last few weeks we've been rehearsing Elvis Costello, Stevie Wonder, Sam & Dave, The Specials and Madness.
