Clannad, Enya, Capercaillie, Medwyn Goodall, Spiritual music like Joanne Shenandoah and Karunesh, Electronica like Depeche Mode, Talk Talk, Tears For Fears, A-Ha, Classical singers like Sarah Brightman and Katherine Jenkins and probably loads of others I can't think of off the top of my head. Electronica/Celtic. Generally anything haunting and beautiful that sends a shiver down your spine and carries deep emotion. I like dance music too - again I prefer the more melodic haunting trance and early house stuff. I'd say I was eclectic and appreciate all music except death metal - YUK! A piece has to speak to me i suppose, I'm very much a celtic female singer - more of a Moire Brennan than a Britney Spears if you know what I mean! Never sung prof before but have been singing on the quiet since I was about 6 so have put 20 years. First song I ever taught myself to sing - Whitney Houston I Wanna Dance With Somebody back in like 1986! I was a bookish kid so nobody got on to my singing for years!
