40+ years as a practicing musician. Inc 30+ years doing regular paid work: residences, clubs, bars, theatre pit work, some European work. Returning to music after a few years of young family commitments. Guitar or Bass. Reasonable staff notation reading, treble/bass. Therefore, happy to work from fully written charts (with practice time), lead sheets or chord charts. NO TAB PLEASE!

Influences
Various styles with strong leanings towards post war Black American music: funk, soul, jazz, disco, etc. Currently doing a regular big-band guitar gig. Strongest influences include: Stevie Wonder, EWAF, Chic Organisation, 70s/80s CBS family, Motown, Atlantic, post-war jazz.

EQUIPMENT
Everything needed to express myself musically and do a gig!! 4 & 5 string basses, 6 string guitars. Riotously visually unimpressive, but very portable amplification suitable for most live work (If I ever do get to play Wembley, I can always hire). TBH, if you’re actually interested in an equipment list beyond what I’ve stated, you’re probably not what I’m looking for.
