I’m a 19 year old student at University of Leeds. I have been playing bass for 6 years and have only ever jammed with my brother at home (who plays electric guitar). I’m curious about jamming with others on a non strict basis (at least until I make a more informed choice about greater commitment). Ultimately I have never jammed with a drummer and it is my desire to do so. I know (from other halls of residence) a keen guitarist of 8 years who shares similar influences as me being the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Jimi Hendrix, Robin Trower etc. I have a fender player series jazz bass, a fender rumble 200 and a Boss me-80, as far as gear goes. I have never performed live and have only compiled a few tracks with my brother, certainly of no great standard and I would not say I am experienced in the song writing area despite the fact I have a desire to make my own music. Influences
I am not a heavy metal or punk rock fan generally (but for the purpose of fun, I do not object to playing and learning them), there are some tracks that fall under that category which I like. However, that list is rather small.
My main influences would be Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Dire Straits, Supertramp, Thin Lizzy, Wishbone Ash, and Rush.
