JaxStax is a newly-formed band, but some of us have been playing for over 10 years in various Southampton-based bands (including Fat Bloke, Big Red and Rufus Stone). We've chosen to call our style Soul/Funk, but it encompasses a wide range of other comtemporary R&B music too.

All the soul/funk greats - from Stevie Wonder through Wilson Pickett and Aretha Franklin to Tower Of Power!
