ABOUT

Hi,

I am very passionate about every genre involving guitars - from Griot blues to Heavy metal, including funk, rock, Malian blues, D.C. Go-Go, Hip-Hop and especially Flamenco!

I have been playing for over 15 years and have been gigging for the past 13 years, since I was a teenager (I am now 25).

I am looking for another musician who loves music from all over the world and isn't interested in boundaries within genres. I am looking for one or more people to start collaborating/writing with in Bristol (or the local area inc. Bath) and to start gigging ASAP. I am only looking for dedicated and enthusiastic people who really want to push their own creativity and musical abilities!

Influences

I draw influence from all over the world. I enjoy most music, however my all time favorite would have to be blues from aroudn the globe - from Malian Saharan Desert blues to the electric uptempo blues from Chicago.

I have also recently fallen in love with flamenco guitar playing and am very interested in combining techniques/ideas from the genres (as well as many others!)

Another favorite of mine is a band with strong percussive roles, whether that's flamenco hip-hop groups such as Ojos de Brujos, Washington D.C. Go-Go bands such as Rare Essence or other bands with extraordinary drummers/percussionists such as Led Zeppelin.

As well as having a passion for acoustic guitar, I also love the sound of a distorted guitar (so therefore I love rock and metal too) - my favorite band of all time has to be Rage Against The Machine.
