I've studed a bit over the years I am mainly self learnt and as you all no .still learning and wanting to.
I am in a few bands at the moment , from township jazz .duke Ellington style band and a soul band .Plus I do the odd guest spot fronting a 4 piece jazz band. I can read a little but not enough to hurt me none (loi prima .quote ) if you don't no who he is. Look up his better recordings..i have played big and small gigs. I would love to earn a crust out of playing. I have my own style of playing. But I always play the style of music being played . I have a great ear . I love to improvisation . Music in general of any kind.
On the recording of nature boy below, this was from a guest spot at the regent jazz. I had practised the tune but only on my own. The idea for the bossa after the tune was decided just before playing and the improvisation was on the spot. You can hear me say sorry when I swapped flugelhorns because I wasn't happy with the first one.

L Armstrong. Miles , chet , l prima , loads more.
Led Zeppelin .Pink Floyd . The original black 40s and 50s rythm and blues artist like.willie dixon. Little willy John ect that rote so many things and never got the recognition they deserve. Look them up and see for yourself and that is just 2 names. You get the idea though .festivals .gigs any kind of music I will watch or better still play.
I love Julie London's voice and the beat nik ish grooves like fever and boots are made for walking ect.
