I have an interesting relationship with music tbh. My parents forced me into guitar lessons when I was 13, and I wasn't that into or had the patience for it. My teacher could tell, so he moved me onto bass. I played that for a bit in a band with other students. I agreed to do a few small pub gigs here and there despite having virtually no interest in music or commitment to practice and quit not long after.
It wasn't until I was 17 that I fell in love with and developed a passion for music. I decided to give the guitar another shot during the pandemic and have been self-taught and stuck with it ever since. I started a band with some old friends from school last summer, but we never really went anywhere; it was too difficult for us to find the time or place to practice together since we're all away at uni :(
I'd love to start/join a band and am pretty much open to playing music from any and all genres. I'm by no means a virtuoso or lead guitarist, but I'd like to think I'm a pretty solid rhythm player and singer :)
