ABOUT

My name is Sebastian Agini and I am a 30 year old aspiring guitarist/vocalist. My musical venture until now has been a rather long and turbulent one filled with ups and downs. The goals that I have set for myself are of the type that require a lot of hard work, dedication, investments and resources in order for me to be able to make them come to fruition. Overall, I am a person with great expectations and I always look forward to achieving better results as I consider myself to be a well-rounded artist with high standards as well as a guitar-player that possesses a relatively high level of technical ability and practical skills. I have been spending long hours playing my instrument, honing my technique and I don't intend on straying away too much. I graduated from "New Bulgarian University" in Sofia, Bulgaria where I did the pop/Jazz guitar program and I attended Musicians Institute of technology in Los Angeles, California before that. As it is made clear in the resume I have attached, my work experience is somewhat limited due to the fact that I had been working for companies that deal outside of the musical field although I have also had the opportunity to navigate within it; I have worked with artists of a higher caliber such as Neil Turbin of former Anthrax fame. In addition to that I have had the honor of going on tour in support of Udo Dirkschneider and Anvil with a local Bulgarian band. I have also recorded vocals for a Hard Rock band that is currently working on a full length LP. I also currently play in an Iron Maiden tribute band called the Beginning of the End as well as a newly formed Progressive Metal outfit called Many More; We will be releasing our debut EP in late February. Since it has been a dream of mine to be able to attend Berklee college of music, I knew that I had to be competitive as a musician. One of the main projects I would eventually like to conceive as my thesis, consists of part-taking in an interesting and unique fusion group that blends some of my favorite styles of music together. The genres in question include Blues rock, Jazz and Heavy Metal music; I would like to achieve this with a collective whose members share a common vision as well as a high level of energy. I feel strongly about these styles of music because of the freedom it gives one to be able to experiment and create interesting sounds; Being open-minded in today's day and age is vital and mixing different styles of music is a great way for one to broaden ones horizons and help them grow both as a person and an artist. I personally believe that communication is an essential part of human development which is why I would consider it suiting to eventually take on a managerial or a teaching position at some point given that I do have past experience doing such work and I find it constructive. I would like to make it very clear that seeking opportunities as well as career development would be the number one priority for me as it is becoming more and more difficult to maintain adequate employment in the music field especially in today's day and age. I truly believe that music is a powerful tool that could potentially be used for the betterment of society which is one of the main reasons I do take it very seriously and treat it delicately.
