Any other fat, balding, married with kids rockers out there? Well, that sums me up.
I'm looking for like-minded individuals who want to get together for a bit of a laugh and play some tunes. I'm into most guitar based rock/metal/punk etc. Ideally you'll be within about 10 miles of Eastleigh/Chandlers Ford as I don't want to be travelling miles! A sense of humour is more important than anything else. I play guitar to a reasonable standard but can't solo to save my life - I can riff like a mofo though. I'm a very competent bass player and it's also been known for me to tickle the ivories occasionally - although Jon Lord I'm not. I've been playing guitar since the age of about 7 and was in various bands in my teens and twenties. However, the lure of a decent job, lovely ladies and football meant that I never made it further than playing the pub circuits of West London.
Loads. Mainly metal bands (80's thrash is my main thang) but also into "classic" rock like AC/DC, Sabbath etc. Quite like a bit of 70's punk too - The Damned, The Pistols and early Clash is all cool. So is stuff like Peter And The Test Tube Babies. If I also say that I like "indie" stuff like Carter USM and Pop Will Eat Itself, you'll realise that my musical tastes define the word "varied". Or crap.
I'll listen to anything that isn't R&B (the Beyonce sort not Dr Feelgood who are quite good) and modern US punk like Blink 182 and Bowling For Soup. What a load of old whiney tosh that is eh?
Pointy Jacksons and a Marshall. El cheapo bass and Carlsbro bass amp.
