Biography
Rick Hampton has been ever present on the local music scene for well over 30 years.
He formed TRANZAM; one of the first rock covers bands to be established in the West Midlands, in 1980. The band still continues to this day.
In recent years Rick has played numerous bands covering a wide musical spectrum.
As bass player in THE 7 TEEZ he can tackle the funk and disco style of the 1970s.
He is also a member of one of the UK's most popular Country Music acts, ARIZONA STORM.
Rick was a founder member of the JOURNEY 2 TOTO tribute band which he considers to be one of the most challenging projects he has ever undertaken.
Rick is constantly gigging and is able to balance a healthy diary with DEVOTED TO ROCK and his own private tuition school.
Also available for dep-work Rick's CV includes THE DARKSIDE (A Pink Floyd Tribute Band), GUNRUNNER (Classic Rock) and 5CATFISH ((A professional function band).
Rick also runs BASS & GUITAR LESSONS, a private business that specializes in teaching bass and acoustic guitar.

Influences

Paul McCartney, Phil Lynott, Mike Porcarro and John Entwistle for the bass playing. The Beatles, Toto, Journey, Jackson Brown, Bob Seger, Mary Chapin Carpenter, James Taylor, Elton John (this list could go on) for musical inspiration.
The Little River Band from Australia are my all-time favourite band.
