SEEKING
Band to Join.ABOUT
Been playing guitar since around age 12, started out teaching myself keyboards, which I'm ok at though not really gig quality, then guitar. Played in a few local bands, mostly doing covers etc. Been writing songs on and off for a while, recording them at home on various equipment through the years.
Now looking to join or set-up a new band to gig with. Open to all forms of music, played most in my time!

Influences
Brian May from Queen got me started on the guitar. I heard Brighton Rock from the Live Killers LP and was just in awe of what you could do live with one guitar! For those that don't know the song, it was like a 15 minute instrumental, where he used just a tape delay to build this wall of sound.
Listen to virtually anything from any genre, as I think there is always something that can be learnt, even if not necessarily one of your favourite styles.

EQUIPMENT
I have a selection of guitars, Ibanez, Epiphone, Yamaha acoustics and a really nice Brian May guitar!
For effects, I've just upgraded to the Boss GT-100 and also a Boss GR-55 synth which are both amazing!! I've also just started building my own effects pedals as a side project, a nice TS clone and also a very loud treble booster are two of my current favourites!
For amps, I used to use a Marshall stack which was awesome but too big for my car! So have gone over to Hughes & Kettner Tube Meister.... a really nice and compact 36w head and two 12" cabs. Might not sound like a lot of power but it can punch it out, also has a built in DI so can be fed into a PA or amp if extra volume is needed!

Past Events
Pre-Christmas gig with band at The Queens Head in Thurlton. Been playing for a couple months with them (bass work for me!) and sounds pretty good. More rock and blues, some classics in the set, also a few lesser known but great songs!
