Band to Join, Steel guitar, Trombone, Dobro, Fiddle, Mandolin, Banjo, Other, Flute, Harmonica, Piano, Keyboard, Saxophone, Trumpet, Violin, Drums, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar, Accordion.
My name's Matt, aged 20, student.
Looking to put together a band, mainly to be playing originals, but would never say no to a few covers too! I listen to everything from James Blunt to Maiden, but hoping to start something off that's kinda in a country-influenced rock kinda vein, Simple, honest stuff. Think Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, later Bon Jovi, Frank Turner, Kevin Costner (yeah, he "sings" too apparently), Bryan Adams, Noah and the Whale, Dire Straits, Amy Macdonald, Taylor Swift, Blake Shelton, Daughtry, Gordon Lightfoot, Keith Urban, Richmond Fontaine, Lissie... (and I know everyone puts Dylan, but i guess that's for a good reason, so why not him too?)...
I know I have more the musical taste of a middle-aged American, not a young Brit, but would love to hear from anyone into a similar sort of stuff. I'm thinking vocal duties and rhythm guitar for myself, so anyone who plays any other instrument (and I mean ANY - my favourite band's the E Street Band for God's sake - and they've had pretty much everything imaginable in their mix from time to time) - please get in touch.
(you can email me on firstname.lastname@example.org)
See above for influences in the genre I'm looking to play. Outside of this my favourites include Pearl Jam, Gaslight anthem, Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Fratellis, Pulp, The View, Guns n Roses...........
Crafter electro-acoustic, Les Paul and Strat copies, 50 Watt Marshall combo (AVT 50), multi-effects pedal. Oh, and an old keyboard and couple of mics.
