Yao. I'm a heavy metal guitarist looking to join a band or start a fresh project. I've been playing for nearly 10 years (bloody flown by); graduated with a 2.1 in Professional Musicianship; was in a thrash band for 5 years and recorded a live album, music video and played with Evile; and I write contemporary rock instrumentals in my spare time.
I'm currently in a southern rock project with another guitar player so if this interests you please get in touch! Otherwise I'm open to many forms of metal, less the djent and hardcore scene though. Biggest influences musically would be Pantera and Metallica lol but I draw lead influences from anyone from Bach to Van Halen to Hendrix.
Having studied music and the music industry I have some insight into how the industry works and I'm experienced in recording and gigging. I'm focused and driven but love metal and its nuances/cliches with a passion so I don't take myself too seriously. I've got some decent chops and lead ideas and well capable of holding a rhythm section together. Please message if you think I can add something to your project.
