Formed in 1992 by Mark Elliott and Dave Standbridge, recorded the first four song demo in 1994 (Band line up Dave Standbridge - Guitar, Mark Elliott - Drums, James Francis - Bass, Robbie Haywood - Voice. Tracks, Hatred of Mankind, Ode to Death, False Forgiveness, Society Labotomy) @ Sable Rose recording studios in Coventry, with Andy Faulkner at the controls. After a line up change in late 1994 the new face of PURGE entered the Sable Rose studio again in 1996 to lay down the powerful "Psycho Effect", the eerie "Into Insanity" and awesome "Morbid Thoughts" (Band line up Dave Standbridge - Guitars, Mark Elliott - Drums, Paul Marriotti - Guitars, Martin MacGregor - Bass, Robbie Haywood - Voice) . But then disaster struck; With more great songs on the way and UK tour in the pipeline the band broke up down to events beyond their control. The remaining members had drifted apart over the years until now. After 10 years in the wilderness several members of this band have got back in touch with each other. After generating interest on myspace we are now putting the band back together but several original members are no longer interested. So male or female if your interested get intouch.
