Drums.ABOUT
ok well my names Ben Hiorns and i'm the frontman for Dead Letter Office. We've been together for over 4 years and have played over 100 gigs in that time, everything from playing to 5 people in a pub to 6000 people supporting the Subways at the Manchester Academy. DLO are on hiatus at the moment while our drummer sorts his life out and the rest of us figure out what we want to do regarding our next album and/or 'the next step' in general.
In the interim I have grown to REALLY miss playing live music and have written and demoed over 20 songs for a new band. So far Iv'e managed to get together a bassist, backing singer, lead guitarsist, and keyboard player/rhythm guitarist and now all i need is a drummer to complete the package.
Experience isn't necessary, as long as your passionate about music and can play competently.
My plan is to practice once or twice a week, gig extensively in the new year and hopefully record an album in the spring with esteemed producer Gavin Monaghan (Editors, Kings Of Leon, Robert Plant etc) who iv'e worked with before with DLO.
If your interested let me know and i'll send over some of the demos as well as the first DLO album so you know what you'd be letting yourself in for so to speak.
Anyway hope to hear from you soon, take care.

Influences
hmmm... personally.... it's eclectic lets just say that, my favorite artist and band would probably be Tom Waits and Radiohead. Everyone in the band has drastically different and eclectic tastes though, feel free to ask.

Sleep It Off
Sleep It Off Year: 2009 Genre: Alternative
Recorded with DLO back in 2008 but rejected on terms of it being 'a bit odd'. A possibility for adapting and playing with the new band.
